Instructions
- In a medium mixing bowl, combine the mayonnaise, honey, and apple cider vinegar. Whisk until smooth and well combined.
- Add the Dijon mustard, celery seed, onion powder, black pepper, and salt to the mixture. Continue whisking until all ingredients are fully incorporated.
- Taste the dressing and adjust seasoning if needed. If you prefer a sweeter dressing, add more honey. For more tang, add an extra teaspoon of apple cider vinegar.
- Transfer the dressing to an airtight container and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before using. This allows the flavors to meld together beautifully.
- When ready to serve, pour the dressing over your prepared cabbage mix and toss until evenly coated. For best results, let the dressed coleslaw sit for 15-20 minutes before serving to allow the cabbage to soften slightly.
Notes
This dressing can be prepared up to 3 days in advance and stored in the refrigerator. The flavors actually improve over time as they meld together. Feel free to experiment with different mustards or add a teaspoon of lemon juice for extra brightness.
